Spain - Andalucia
What We Say
A lovely example of this famous red wine; rich, intense and complex with flavours of red and black fruit, mushroom and the much-desired Pinot Noir earthiness.
What They Say
This opulent and very expressive wine truly reflects the character of the Côte de Nuits wines. Both seductive but full of character. You will find aromas of red fruits, slightly stewed, notes of spices, with time you will find aromas of truffles, of undergrowth characteristic of ageing. Best with game-type meats with lots of flavour, but also Époisses or Langres-type cheeses.
About The Producer Maison Ambroise
The origins of our estate date back to the 18th century through the cultivation of cereals, blackcurrants and vines. They specialized in wine in the early 1940s. In 1977, Bertrand and Martine took over from her parents. With them the exploited area has grown, from 12 hectares to 17. 32 years later, their children Ludivine and François came to assist them in their work. Today the family works together on 20 hectares of vines producing 20 different appellations.
