The Cantina Sociale Birgi is located in the heart of a natural scenario of overbearing beauty. This land boasts a millenary winemaking tradition that has been taken up, enhanced, renewed and re-proposed by the Birgi Wine Cooperative, born in 1960 by the will of growers in love with their land and proud of their origins. Nowadays the winery has about a thousand members who each year confer more than 300,000 quintals of high quality grapes. All vineyards are cultivated with traditional techniques. Also the harvest is still done manually. Due the particular soil and climatic conditions, our land creates unique products for their organoleptic characteristics. Every phase of all our processing are guaranteed by a traceability protocol that covers the entire chain, from the preparation of the vines, to the fertilization of the soil, from pruning to harvesting, up to the conferment in the cellar, where the grapes are processed according to strict procedural standards and cutting-edge technologies.
