A balanced Bordeaux from the renowned Margaux appellation. Its aromas of red fruits, combined with spicy notes, are supported by silky tannins, providing a harmonious tasting experience.
A great wine signed by Gonzague Lurton who has at heart to let nature express its needs to offer wines of remarkable elegance and delicacy
The quality of Durfort's wine is known since the end of the XVIIIth century, and Thomas Jefferson, ambassador in France, future president of the United States, places it in his fascinating travel diaries immediately after Lafite, Latour and Margaux. The 1855 classification confirmed the opinion of this great connoisseur by giving it the rank of second classified growth. The vineyard is made up of several plots, surrounded by the vineyard of Château Margaux. For too long, the vineyard has produced wines below its second growth classification. But the arrival of François Lurton at its head undeniably marks a turning point in the history of this beautiful property. Since 2016, Durfort Vivens is certified Demeter. This testifies to the application of the new owners to create great wines.
