Powerful Languedoc wine packed full of spice and stewed black fruit
Deep red with purplish reflections. A nose of "fruit yoghurt" notes, with aeration of fruit (blueberry, plum and blackberry) and spices (cinnamon, white pepper). The palate combines fullness and tension with a dense and silky substance. Ripe tannins that pass by themselves thanks to the fruit and the freshness. Powerful, full-bodied, tasty finish with spices to spare. Resinous minty notes.
"Les darons" means "the fathers": a vintage which is meant to be representative of western Languedoc, the southernmost French vineyard in France, mainly based on Grenache (at the origin of the Languedoc appellations).
