An elegant Beaujolais from this leading producer – all the joyous fresh red fruit of the Gamay grape, but with a little more backbone than most.
Beautiful ruby in colour, subtle berry aroma. An elegant and ample palate that leaves a good, persistent taste.
Located in the small town of Denice, between Mâcon-sur-Saone and Lyon, Manoir du Carra dates back to 1850 and has passed on from father to son for five generations. Now owned by Jean-Noël Sambardier and his wife, who run the vineyards alongside their sons, the 30 hectares of vineyards sit on the north-south axis between Beaujolais and Beaujolais-Villages.
