Smooth and creamy with a lively acidity and dash of oak and honeyed flavour, a well-balanced and good value example of white Burgundy
Drawing its character from the predominantly limestone soils around the village of Verzé, this vintage is made up of 100% Chardonnay grapes. The typical nature of this wine is best expressed with a smoked salmon savoury cake, a salad of scallops, the local dish of pike quenelles or traditional Burgundy snails with parsley. With ageing potential of 3 to 5 years, this wine is ideally served at between 11 and 13°C. Colour : silvery gold Floral : violets Fresh fruits : pears Minerality : flint/chalk
Les Vignerons Monts de Bourgogne is made up of hundreds of growers scattered throughout the hilly and sunny Mâconnais region. The winemakers identify and select specific parcels of vines, sometimes tiny, which typify the wines of the region, and are selected for their outstanding exposure and the age of their vines. The vast majority of their production is exported to markets including the UK, the US, Germany and Scandinavia.
