Black cherry and cassis mixed with Provençal herbs are at the forefront of this mouthwatering wine from the sunny plains of Ventoux.
Terra means "land" in Latin. Source of life for the vine which draws its geological wealth and strength from it, the soil is the essence of a terroir. 150m high, at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail and sheltered from Mont Ventoux, the Saint-Hippolyte-le-Graveyron plot benefits from the gleams of the sun from morning to evening. On these 4 hectares surrounded by oaks, cherry trees and cypresses, the manual harvest is done with delicacy, in the middle of blueberries and thistles. Terra expresses itself on pretty spicy notes, aromas of red and black fruits and a nice acidity. A balanced wine with great potential.
Modern man in the twenty-first century has sometimes lost his relationship with nature, the practical knowledge and common sense that our ancestors acquired through their observations. They were patient when modernity invites you to look at your watch and want nature to flourish faster. “We consider the Vindemio vineyard as a living organism and the product of a complex ecosystem, representing a microcosm in relation to the macrocosm. Time then becomes an ally whose own constraints must be respected. Our wines are born from a respect for the cycles and rhythms of nature, influenced by the elements and their symbiosis: the sun, the rain, the wind, the moon. You have to know how to draw strength from it to move forward with nature and not against your will. This is the key to successful agriculture ”. “We work without chemicals or synthesis (without herbicides, insecticides, fungicides). We only use natural phytosanitary products, as well as organic and mineral fertilizers of natural origin. Vindemio promotes biodiversity by sowing plants in vegetative cover (field beans, flower beds, etc.), by planting Elaeagnus Ebbingei and Photinia X Fraseri hedges on the edge of vines and embankments to make natural nesting boxes for birds. We fertilize the soil with compost during replanting. All these measures lead to an improvement in the quality of the soil, to the fertility of the vines as well as to the good health of the ecosystem ”.
