Complex white wine with stone fruit, hazelnut, and buttery notes. Elegant with a long finish.
Golden color. Woody nose with aromas of white flowers. Unctuous and opulent mouth, with good length.
At the end of the 19th century, in the heart of Burgundy in Savigny lès Beaune, a passionate and idealistic winegrower, Léonce Bocquet (owner at the time of Clos de Vougeot and part of its vines) had his buildings built by Charles Swiss, great architect of the time and professor at the school of fine arts, who created an original and massive construction. These buildings, with unusual colors for the region, still exist today and are now the Swiss family property. Schenk, one of the European leaders in the wine trade and present in most vineyards around the world, bought it in 1964.
