This Burgundy wine made from Pinot Noir is soft with smooth mouthfeel. Aromas of stewed red fruits, cherries and earthy tones. The supple tannins lead into a long lasting finish.
This wine offers us a bouquet of red fruits with variations of liquorice and smoky-vanilla notes. Tannic at a young age, it will become round with time.
The Davanture family have been settled in the village of Saint-Désert and have been making wine in the Côte Chalonnaise since the late 19th century. Around 1940, Louis and Marie Davanture, embarked on a quality-driven approach, which led to the selection of noble grape varieties of the finest Burgundy Crus. The estate now consists of 23 hectares spread across seven appellations. The terroir of the Côte Chalonnaise imparts a very distinctive character to Pinot Noir: notes of Gruitte, small red fruits, and a smoky finish on the palate.
