A nose of red fruit and lightness. Elegant and delicate on the palate.
Deep garnet red. On the nose, dried oregano aromas are entwined with dark and red cherries. Ripe cherries on the palate are balanced with grainy tannins so typical of traditional Chianti, with a vibrant, fresh acidity on the finish.
In the town of Cerreto Guidi, Poggitondo is a magnificent family estate of 28 hectares of vines located at an altitude of 100 meters. The emphasis at the estate is on the region's indigenous grape varieties, Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino and even Trebbiano, which are the original grape varieties of the Chianti appellation. Poggiotondo has been certified in organic farming since the 2014 vintage and has always sought to produce wines of great vitality and purity.
