Meet the Team – Kate Wardell

Here at LVG we know that clued up staff make for better business and results in happier customers.  That’s why we spend a lot of time searching for the best brains in the oenophilic (that’s ‘wine lovers’) world to come and train your staff. When Kate Wardell’s details passed across our desk we knew we’d found just the person.  She joins us from December and we’re thrilled to have her on board!

A bit about Kate:kate wardell meet the team Meet the Team - Kate Wardell

I’ve been living in France for 10 years, and involved in wine tourism and wine education since 2010. Currently I’m sunning myself in Provence on holiday whilst also brushing up knowledge of what’s on offer in these parts (every day’s a school day!).

I’m originally from Southampton but left the UK when I was 7 and I’ve been overseas pretty much ever since. I have worked in Hong Kong, did a long stint in Switzerland where I attended HOSTA in Leysin, Greece and the US,

At the risk of being disloyal to Languedoc my favourite wines would have to be white burgundies, reds from Piedmont, and although I don’t have a sweet tooth I’m definitely partial to PX!

My favourite pastimes have to be traveling whilst furthering my wine knowledge. Living in the south of France gives me great access to explore other amazing wine regions like Catalunya, Northern Italy and of course, the rest of France!
