Intense on the nose, a wine that jumps out of the glass with aromas of violet and red and black fruits. On the palate, a powerful yet refined wine with lots of complex fruit and a touch of salinity on the finish.
It is intense on the nose combining aromas of violets and black fruit and a delicately toasted sensation; at the start in the mouth it is full and rich, followed by deep fruitiness and then a slight saline finish.
Even though the history of Domaine Berthelemot is relatively recent, the family’s character is what the winery is built off of. Brigitte Berthelemot, who founded the estate in 2006, draws inspiration from one of her uncles, a winemaker in Mâconnais, and her father, who was passionate about plants, soil, and subsoil. Her son, Thomas Berthelemot, who joined the estate in 2017, brings a new dynamic to the winery. What a journey it has been for this innovative estate, that consistently produces wines of great elegance.
