What They Say

A serious, restrained and complex example of cru Cairanne. This is rich, intense and drenched in dark red fruits. With morello cherry and a touch of cinnamon spice on the nose, soft dark plummy fruit, liquorice, chocolate, a hint of black tea on the palate, this wine is full flavoured and smooth with supple tannins. A rich, savoury satisfying mouthful!

About The Producer Boutinot

Tucked away in the hills of the Cairanne village, Domaine Boutinot was established in 2010. Spread across 8 hectares, the vineyard features vines aging roughly 40 to 60 years, which rest on clay-limestone soils with rolled pebbles. The vineyard features 4 flagship grape varieties known to the region: Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Carignan Noir, which achieved Cru status within Cairanne Appellation. Their philosophy centers on working naturally, they manually harvest their grapes and use natural yeast during fermentation.
