A fruity nose, with ever so slight oxidative notes due to its ageing. A powerful palate with aromas of apples, fresh almonds, candied mandarins and spices. Accompanied by light tannins that add structure.
This unusual orange-colored wine shows slight oxidative notes due to its ageing, and aromas of fresh almonds, mango, candied mandarins, quince paste and spices.
Château Guilhem has been making wine since 1878. Bertrand Gourdou is the 5th generation of this winegrowing family. Located in Malviès, between Carcassonne and Limoux, Château Guilhem, built on the site of a Gallo-Roman villa, was rebuilt in the 18th century in the Directoire style. The estate, 35 hectares of vines, is close to the forests of the Massif de La Malepère, classified Natura 2000. This has led us to adopt organic farming methods for our vineyards, with the utmost respect for the flora and fauna of our environment.
