A charming southern French wine from the ever talented Xavier Roger. The number on the wine label derives from the grape growth cycle. Exactly 223 days have passed from the flowering to the harvest of the Grenache grapes. Overt and spicy aromas with a hint of white pepper, the palate is concentrated with ripe black cherry fruits and liquorice intensity. About The Producer LGI Wines
This wine is made by leading international winemaker, Xavier Roger, who is based in Carassone in the South of France. Xavier specialises in making modern ‘international’ styles of wine in France—wines that can be enjoyed with or without food. It is the limiting gravel soil and the naturally low yielding which are the perfect conditions of the Languedoc-Roussillon region for producing rich, concentrated, ripe grapes.
