An open nose with hints of smoked Morello cherry. Well-balanced on the palate, with explosive aromas of red fruit and silky tannins.
A fruity nose with notes of liquorice with red fruits on the palate with hints of roasting.
The Davanture family have been settled in the village of Saint-Désert and have been making wine in the Côte Chalonnaise since the late 19th century. Around 1940, Louis and Marie Davanture, embarked on a quality-driven approach, which led to the selection of noble grape varieties of the finest Burgundy Crus. The estate now consists of 23 hectares spread across seven appellations. The terroir of the Côte Chalonnaise imparts a very distinctive character to Pinot Noir: notes of Gruitte, small red fruits, and a smoky finish on the palate.
