An interesting alternative to a cool climate French Pinot noir.
The wine is of an iridescent, deep red colour. The nose offers a charming mixture of herbal spices and hints of cherries, as well as bromeliads and wild berries. To taste, the wine contains notes of soft fruits, delicate spice and delicate hints of thyme and herbs. Overall its an elegant, fine wine with a soft structure, velvety tanins and a long finish.
Our family winery is run by Wilfried and Nico Espenschied, the 7th and 8th generation of wine producers. We focus on quality wines and produce estate bottled wines from 28 hectares of vine planted sites. Our main grape variety is Riesling, followed by Grauer (Pinot gris) and Weisser Burgunder (Pinot blanc).
