Jean-Jacques Girard Gevrey-Chambertin 2020
What We Say
This red Burgundy wine has aromas of black cherry, blackberry, forest floor, and spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with silky tannins and a beautiful finish. It pairs well with roasted meat dishes.
What They Say
Very beautiful intense ruby color. Open nose with aromas of red fruits. Ample, suave and well-structured. Very fine wine. A fruit-tannin balance gives this wine great potential for evolution.
About The Producer Jean-Jacques Girard
About five centuries ago, Jean Girard began cultivating vines in Savigny-Les-Beaune. Seven generations later, Jean-Jacques Girard established his own domain to carry on the family tradition. In 2008, his son Vincent joined him on the estate. Today, the family domain spans approximately fifteen hectares and produces around 100,000 bottles annually. Their farming practices are rooted in a deep respect for the terroir and the environment, combining traditional expertise with modern technology in crafting their wines.
