A captivating Italian Chardonnay from Aosta Valley. The Cuvee has aged in oak barrels to develop it's rich and aromatic profile. It shows flavours of vanilla, toasted nuts, exotic fruits and subtle hints of citrus.
Cuvée Bois should be counted among the greatest burgundy Italian chardonnay. It was born from the meeting of Constantin Charrère with Count Gagnard de la Grange, noble winemaker of Puligny Montrachet, whose breeding of this wine is inspired. Golden yellow, the opening on the nose goes from banana to candied cedar, accompanied by a spicy surge expressed by well-toasted oak. The full nose-mouth correspondence gives the palate a thick, rich and candied consistency, of great balance and elegance. A long persistence slowly clears with great pleasure. It accompanies great international cuisine, fondues and flans, fish, foie gras, fatty and blue cheeses.
Located in the heart of the Alps, nestled among the “four giants” – Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn (Cervin), Monte Rosa (Mont Rose), and the Gran Paradiso – lies the Aosta Valley, the smallest of the Italian regions. This area is ideal for the vineyards as they stretch along the central valley and rise near the mountains. Made up of 33 hectares lies the Domaine des Crêtes, they produce wines that are indulgent, fresh, and elegant. The Estate’s reputation extends far beyond the Aosta Valley, and some of their cuvées are sought after by sommeliers all over the world.
