What We Say

Well worthy of its name this charming cuvee from the Burgundy's Macon is very appealing indeed. Round and with great freshness balanced by generous ripe fruit flavours of peach, apricot and citrus and with notes of nuts, honey and acacia.

What They Say

Clear and bright golden yellow, with green hues when young. The nose is fresh and fruity with notes of flowers and fruits (nuts, honey, acacia and citrus fruits) The palate is medium-bodied, packed with delicate flavours of fruits with a slightly spicy finish. This wine benefits from the best of the appellation; it stands out of the Mâcon-Villages range, with a style close to the Crus du Maconnais. Enjoy ideally at 10-12°C with appetisers, tapas, salmon, fish, seafood, terrine, sushi, and Poultry. Our suggestion would be roast chicken with bread sauce, roast potatoes and stuffing. It will be at it’s best after two years in the bottle, however this wine can age 3 to 5 years according to the vintage.

About The Producer Cave de Lugny

The Cave de Lugny is firmly rooted in the Mâconnais countryside and is proud of its origins and history which have made it a specialist in Southern Burgundy wines. The Cave de Lugny's wines are produced in an authentic region, home to the Chardonnay grape. Here, in the land of its birth, this mythical grape variety reveals its full potential and finest expression. Consumers are demanding when it comes to health and environmental issues. All the process from pruning to harvests is controlled to insure top quality grapes : low yields, minimum treatments, controlled fertilizer, regular plowing, daily control of maturity… Wine must be aligned with the times. Our strategy is therefore one of sustainability, based on the "Vignerons en Développement Durable" (growers in sustainable development) charter, which allows us to promote the work accomplished in recent years, in the vineyards and in the cellars, and obtain a wider recognition, including both our employees and our growers.
