Easy-drinking red wine with aromas of red fruits and supple tannins. Perfect with grilled meats, pasta, and soft cheeses.
Ruby red color. Elegant and attractive aromas of fresh mint and fresh fruit, raspberry and strawberry. Nice acidity on the palate with flavors of fresh fruit, mint and cigar. Tannin fins. Well balanced and persistent finish.
With its 70 hectares of vineyards, Quinta do Mondego, a family estate located in Nelas, is one of the largest vineyards in this Portuguese wine region. The vineyards thrive in an idyllic setting on the banks of the river which gives the estate its name - Mondego. They produce elegant and traditional wines with indigenous grape varieties. Now, Joana Cunha, the family's daughter and oenologist, has taken over the management of the estate after her experience in Australia and working alongside Francisco Olazabal.
