What They Say

Petite Laurence, the second wine of Château Laurence, is a selection from the gravelly clays of Montussan. The wine is aged 14 months in barrels and vats. It is a dense, gourmet and fruity wine.

About The Producer Chateau Laurence

In 2012, Mr. Hubert de Boüard de Laforest (Château Angélus) partnered with Mr. Philippe Nunes, the technical director of his Lalande de Pomerol vineyard, and La Fleur de Boüard, to create something new. Along with a few friends, they acquired a 6.6 hectare property. The vineyard extended over the sunny clay-limestone plateau of Saint Sulpice and Cameyrac and the gravelly clay soils of Montussan, an ideal terroir for the cultivation of exceptional Merlots. The Château takes its name from the small stream, La Laurence, which the vineyard overlooks. In the style of Bordeaux’s grand crus, the wines are aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, as well as temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This collaborative effort has been a success, recognized by the praise of renowned critics from around the world.
