Unoaked, dry red wine produced in the Douro region by the Quinta Nova Port estate. Crafted from traditional Douro grape varieties, it offers aromas of red fruits, spice, and woody notes. The flavour is intense with great balance between fruit, acidity and alcohol and a dense structure.
Red cherry color with good intensity, this wine presents a young aroma, with ripe red fruit. Faint presence of vanilla and toast give personality to the set, which is intense, fresh, fruity, pure and tense. It shows a good balance between structure, alcohol and body with velvety and concentrated tannins, greasy texture, beautiful volume and good complexity and intensity. All combined with a good persistence result in a modern wine, to appreciate right away.
Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo is a place of extreme beauty in the heart of Douro valley and owned by Amorim family since 1999. The family connection to the wine comes from afar, through its connection with the export houses of Vila Nova de Gaia in the cork business. Meanwhile the dream came true and the project is now in the hands of the 4th generation of the family. Each of the vineyard's 41 plots has its own individual character, showing the uniqueness of this single estate and the history of great wines, where tradition and technology go hand in hand.
