One of the famous estates in the world of Argentinian Malbec. Smooth and harmonious with notes of black fruit, violet and graphite.
100% Malbec made using French techniques and influences, not far from the mythical Andes mountain range. On the nose, fresh and intensely fruity, with flavors of black and red fruits such as blackberry, plum and strawberry, as well as typical notes of violet and mountain spices. On the palate, vibrant and layered, with good acidity and length.
The estate’s malbec vines were planted in 1929 at Las Compuertas. It boasts over 50 years of malbec expertise and experimentation with French traditions on different terroirs. Mastery of altitude and vinification guarantee the quality and consistency of the wines. From macro-regional approaches to micro-terroir segmentation, this is precision viticulture. With over twenty years of research into high-altitude terroirs and the help of modern technologies, the Terrazas de los Andes team seeks above all to better understand the very pronounced differences between the soils of vines planted in the Andean foothills. The estate uses precise viticultural practices to reveal the full potential of each micro-terroir within a single vineyard. Terrazas de los Andes has always carefully selected high-altitude terroirs offering the ideal freshness and diversity of alluvial soils required by each grape variety.
