An elegant Champagne with notes of brioche and yellow stone fruits. Persistent and intense finish.
Produced each year from an invaluable collection of reserve wines, the signature champagne Veuve Clicquot Brut Carte Jaune is the expression of the style and quality of Maison Veuve Clicquot. The yellow label that distinguishes it from other champagnes reflects its luminous personality as well as the excellence of the House's winegrowers. On the nose, this champagne offers aromas of peach, apricot, pear and vanilla with a touch of brioche. On the palate,it's well balanced of freshness and power. On the finish, it's expressive and long in the blouche. This champagne goes perfectly with festive aperitifs (salmon, blinis, fish tartars) as well as with seafood, fresh pasta and parmesan.
An estate that has just celebrated its 250th anniversary. It was in the first half of the 19th century, under the leadership of Madame Clicquot, who took over the estate at the age of 27 following the death of her husband, that the estate took on its full potential. The woman who would later be nicknamed "the great lady of Champagne" innovated and revolutionized the production of champagne, she invented the riddling table, then used by all the houses, produced the first blended rosé champagne and renamed the brand Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin. The estate, which has 390 hectares of vines, is now part of the LVMH group which has helped to make it one of the best-known Champagne in the world.
