Creamy and zesty Champagne without the hefty price tag.
The very pale color of this cuvée augurs well for great freshness. The effervescence plays on the restless and generates silvery reflections while the bubbles feed a beautiful bead of white foam on the surface. The general presentation of this cuvée is alert, young and fresh. The first scent impression suggests ripe wheat and baguette bread. It is nuanced with notes of almond, dried flowers and thyme. Later, we perceive heady floral scents as well as a fruity character (pear). After five to ten minutes of aeration in the flute, the wine offers more tangy red fruits such as red currants or strawberries. It is a generous, seductive and quite complex nose. The attack on the palate is supple and invigorating at the same time. The effervescence first marks its territory before fading in front of the roundness of the wine. The aromatic expression is fruity (small red fruits) and biscuit. The acid-sugar balance is well supported by the dosage of liquor which brings a certain substance and accentuates the character of generosity and roundness. With aeration, the cuvée becomes more full-bodied and warmer. The finish is crisp, slightly mineral and tangy. She passed out gently, leaving the memory of a real harmony. It is a cuvée that is typical of the Champagne vineyards and their chalky soil. There are no less than 7 different crus from different terroirs of the “Champagne” appellation coming together in this Champagne which is unique in the region. The elegance and generosity of the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes truly express the Bauchet style.
Since the 1920’s, the Bauchet family has cultivated their own vineyards, harvested their own grapes and produced their own champagne. Working from father to son, the four generations of artisan winemakers have worked their unique plots of land, that equate to a grand total of 34 hectares, with purpose and passion. Real estate in Champagne, the vastly broad and rich mosaic of vines spread over different Crus of the appellation, allowing the Chardonnay and Pinots Noirs to be high quality champagne which carry an authenticity and elegance that reflects the personality of their origin.
