The ultra typical and one of the most famous NZ Sauvignons - intense on the nose with lots of tropical, grassy notes.
Nose: bright, aromatic flavors of citrus, orchard blossom and passion fruit. Palate: Notes of juicy stone and tropical fruit, underpinned by delicate minerality and lemon acidity.
In 1985, convinced by New Zealand’s potential for producing great wines, David Hohnen and his winemaker Kevin Judd established their winery, Cloudy Bay, in the then lesser-known Marlborough region. It was one of the first five wineries established in Marlborough, a bold choice given that the region’s vineyards and wines were relatively unknown at the time. Thirty years later, Cloudy Bay remains as one of the most renowned wineries in New Zealand. In 2010, Cloudy Bay took on a new challenge, they wanted to create an internationally acclaimed wine from one of the most complex grape varieties, Pinot Noir, which is considered the star of the Central Otago region.
