A Prime Example of an Casual Burgundy Red. This Pinot Noir has juicy black and red fruit character with a touch of spice and black pepper on the finish.
This wine has intense fruit, illustrated through small black fruit and core notes of cherry and Kirsch. Beautiful roundness, soft tannins and good acidity.
The Davanture family have been settled in the village of Saint-Désert and have been making wine in the Côte Chalonnaise since the late 19th century. Around 1940, Louis and Marie Davanture, embarked on a quality-driven approach, which led to the selection of noble grape varieties of the finest Burgundy Crus. The estate now consists of 23 hectares spread across seven appellations. The terroir of the Côte Chalonnaise imparts a very distinctive character to Pinot Noir: notes of Gruitte, small red fruits, and a smoky finish on the palate.
