About The Producer Lauder's
Created in 1834 by Archibald Lauder shortly after whisky distilling was legalized in Scotland, Lauder's is one of the oldest brands of Scotch whisky. The original blend – comprising 45 different whiskies! – was made for the first time in Glasgow 175 years ago. The result was a resounding success, winning several gold medals at international competitions. These medals, in fact, are depicted on the bottle's label.
